A Little Bit Of A Lot

Busy day.

Ran a bunch of errands this morning.

Attempted once again to buy shoes for E.

At least I found a pair today that fit.  Of course, I brought 3 pairs home.

Long narrow feet.  Trouble for buying shoes.

Also found a dress for her for piano recital tomorrow.

All in all a successful shopping day.

Then I was lucky and met some friends for lunch.

Good food and good conversation.  Perfect.

Oh, and lots of laughs.

The girls had their last lacrosse game tonight.

It looked like it was going to rain.  A lot.  But it held off.  Some rumbles of thunder in the distance.

They are actually missing their very last game tomorrow night due to piano recital.

Can't be 2 places at the same time.  Unless we clone ourselves.  And that ain't happening.

Because I was so busy today, I almost forgot to snap a few pictures.

I got a few taken, not great but at least I took a few.

The view above our heads as we walk out onto the back deck.  The painters' staging.

Scraping/sanding is progressing quite nicely.  Eager to see the paint on the house.

Finding lots more work replacing dry rot boards as he sands.

Houses built in the late 80's/early 90's weren't done so well apparently.

Boo.

This is the pump jack that holds the staging and is fastened to the roof.

Here is the group of stuffed animals E likes to sleep with at night.  The Snoopy in the foreground and her blankie(which they are all sitting on) are her absolute favorites.

Snoopy is well loved.

And her blankie(made by Sissys' mother in law, Gramma C) is so worn, that my Sissy has had to do lots of repairs and reinforcement stitching to keep it held together.

Well loved.  As is E.

One day, she won't want to sleep with these little stuffed animals anymore.

And that will be a sad day.

I am hoping that day is far off in the future.

See, I really do want to freeze my kids to be little.

potd #157.  Here are 2 of D's favorite stuffed animals.  Kermit and a Build-A-Bear Dog that she named Maggie(our own sweet Maggie died in Sept 2010).  D picked the name Maggie because she thought this stuffed dog looked a bit like our Maggie. Sweet D.  Sweet heart.  And she snuggles this Maggie every night when going to sleep.
