Dance Recital Success

Today was the big day.

Dance recital day.

And it was pouring.  Not just any old pouring, but buckets and buckets of rain pouring.

Which meant the girls got dressed at the auditorium.  And that worked really well.

Did a little bit of makeup before leaving the house.  Touched up and added lipstick after they were in their costumes.

They did great and had lots of fun.  Doesn't bode well for giving up dance.  Time will tell.

A little crooked.  Couldn't get them to stand straight. They felt very awkward trying to stand close together without banging their hat brims.

Can't wait to show them all these pictures when they are grown.  They will love it.

I was using A as my guinea pig to check out the lighting.  Love her profile with her costume.  And her eyelashes are so long.

D with a silly smile.  But at least it's a smile.  Sometimes recital pressure is too much and there are lots of forced smiles.  Not this year.

E smiling.  She has lipstick on and  think is a bit afraid to smile too much for fear of messing up her lips.

So glad the 3 girls have these recital memories together.  Sure does make it lots of fun to be in class with friends.

And to have the pictures as they have grown together.  Priceless.

Their whole class did great today.  No mistakes as I could really tell.  That's a good thing.

Yay!  Another successful recital.  Now to take a breather before deciding about next year.
